Ideas, Tools, and a Roll of Paper

With a solo show always in the back of my mind, I am constantly trying to gather a strong series of ink illustrations. Every time I come upon other artist's work it makes me want to work even harder.
So in saying that I am currently trying new tools to illustrate with, going back to my earlier years, and ridding myself of what it means to "mess up". I am always reminding myself that mistakes are what you make them. If a certain movement, or line is not what you want it to be then maybe it's you who needs to bend a little.
The first image is the start of an ink illustration on a roll of paper, 10 yards long that I plan to illustrate from right to left . No planning, no sketch, no brushes. We'll see how it turns out.

June Live Painting

Last week I had a chance to do some live painting at the "Love is Love" show here in NYC. I rocked along side the very dope and talented Marthalicia, and several other artists. The event was packed, the performances excellent (Blitz the Ambassador & his band), I stayed a while, rocked these two pieces and then bounced. Big thank you to Marthalicia.

Each canvas, 18" x 18", acrylic, paint pen, & ink.

Mural Sketches

These few illustrations are sketches & ideas that I am forming for this potential mural gig in NY. It will be painted at this Mexican Grill restaurant, so the theme is Mexico, Mexica/Maya images. I'm also gonna throw a little European and African up in the mix, cause you know I gotta rep for all the sides.
